Description
Return their sum minus overlap and report overlap as countedTwice.
Personal health logs distinguish clock coordinates, elapsed durations, pauses, and missing time metadata. A supplied time comparison organizes records without measuring an activity or assessing its health effects.
Return their sum minus overlap and report overlap as countedTwice.
When to use this tool
Use Activity Log Double Counted Minute Term when you need one explicit diary-duration or clock-accounting component.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter firstMinutes, secondMinutes, overlapMinutes. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read uniqueMinutes, countedTwice. Use the output convention below.
Require nonnegative firstMinutes and secondMinutes and overlapMinutes within both. Return their sum minus overlap and report overlap as countedTwice.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| firstMinutes | First Minutes | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| secondMinutes | Second Minutes | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| overlapMinutes | Overlap Minutes | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| uniqueMinutes | Unique Minutes | Required. Finite number. |
| countedTwice | Counted Twice | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- The overlap is supplied rather than detected; duration union does not assess intensity, clinical benefit, or actual simultaneity.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
