Description
Sum included costs and the included verified subset, then return their signed difference as unsupportedIncludedCost.
Health-economic costs depend on resource definitions, perspective, currency, price year, and timing. An incremental or discounted model term uses supplied assumptions without proving treatment benefit or determining an adoption decision.
Sum included costs and the included verified subset, then return their signed difference as unsupportedIncludedCost.
When to use this tool
Use Cost Perspective Source Gap when you need one transparent health-economic cost or comparison component.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter costs, includedByPerspective, sourceVerified. Keep parallel arrays aligned. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read includedCost, verifiedIncludedCost, unsupportedIncludedCost. Use the output convention below.
Require aligned costs and inclusion and sourceVerified flags. Sum included costs and the included verified subset, then return their signed difference as unsupportedIncludedCost.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |

| sourceVerified | Source Verified | Required. Array of boolean; maximum items 256. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |

| includedCost | Included Cost | Required. Finite number. |
| verifiedIncludedCost | Verified Included Cost | Required. Finite number. |
| unsupportedIncludedCost | Unsupported Included Cost | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Signed costs can cancel, so a zero unsupported sum does not prove every included line is supported; source flags and the chosen perspective are not independently verified.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
