Description

Sum each signed cost into included or excluded according to literal includedCategories membership.

Health-economic costs depend on resource definitions, perspective, currency, price year, and timing. An incremental or discounted model term uses supplied assumptions without proving treatment benefit or determining an adoption decision.

Sum each signed cost into included or excluded according to literal includedCategories membership.

When to use this tool

Use Cost Perspective Inclusion Token when you need one transparent health-economic cost or comparison component.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter costs, categories, includedCategories. Keep parallel arrays aligned. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read includedCost, excludedCost. Use the output convention below.

Require aligned costs and categories. Sum each signed cost into included or excluded according to literal includedCategories membership.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Categories and price bases are supplied; duplicate records contribute separately and no recommended perspective, source validity, or double-counting correction is inferred.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review the complete economic evaluation, clinical evidence, uncertainty, and relevant decision context separately.
