Description
Calculate bleed-box dimensions from trim dimensions and four supplied bleed insets.
Print and screen geometry depends on coordinate scale, placed image size, bleed/inset definitions and pixel transparency. Placed pixels per inch differs from printer dots per inch, and a caller-chosen margin differs from a verified production tolerance. Empty-image conventions and threshold equality affect bounding results.
Calculate bleed-box dimensions from trim dimensions and four supplied bleed insets.
When to use this tool
Use Print Bleed Crop Box Delta when checking the stated artwork geometry, placement, screen angle or alpha-bound convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter trimWidth, trimHeight, bleedLeft, bleedRight, bleedTop, bleedBottom. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read bleedWidth, bleedHeight. Use the output convention below.
Require nonnegative trim dimensions and four bleed insets. Add left/right to width and top/bottom to height.1

| bleedLeft | Bleed Left | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| bleedRight | Bleed Right | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| bleedTop | Bleed Top | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- This derives dimensions only; it does not inspect PDF boxes, artwork coverage or a printer's required bleed.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
