GLP Sample Lot Parent Token Tool

Audit exact supplied sample-to-lot links without authenticating chain of custody.

Description

Test lotId in knownLotIds and flag any prior record linking the same sampleId to a different lot, then return a lot/sample JSON-array key.

Laboratory study records distinguish observations, sample identities, personnel, and supporting sources. Missingness and duplication depend on record scope; a metadata check cannot establish scientific validity or regulatory acceptance.

Test lotId in knownLotIds and flag any prior record linking the same sampleId to a different lot, then return a lot/sample JSON-array key.

When to use this tool

Use GLP Sample Lot Parent Token when you need a laboratory-record consistency or source-support check.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter sampleId, lotId, knownLotIds, priorSampleIds, priorLotIds. Keep parallel arrays aligned. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read lotKnown, conflictingParent, linkKey. Inspect lotKnown, conflictingParent before interpreting the associated values.

Require aligned priorSampleIds and priorLotIds. Test lotId in knownLotIds and flag any prior record linking the same sampleId to a different lot, then return a lot/sample JSON-array key.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Lot membership and parent conflict are independent supplied-record checks; no specimen identity, allowed relinking, chain of custody, or true source lot is verified.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review the controlled study records and audit trail for the complete evidentiary chain. Resolve duplicate identifiers, sampling units, and authorization rules before drawing study-level conclusions.
