Description

Count distinct boxes and distinct boxes with any nonempty listed verified location and manifest flag, dividing or returning zero with defined false for no boxes.

Laboratory study records distinguish observations, sample identities, personnel, and supporting sources. Missingness and duplication depend on record scope; a metadata check cannot establish scientific validity or regulatory acceptance.

Count distinct boxes and distinct boxes with any nonempty listed verified location and manifest flag, dividing or returning zero with defined false for no boxes.

When to use this tool

Use Archive Location Support Share when you need a laboratory-record consistency or source-support check.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter boxIds, locationIds, verifiedLocations, manifestPresent. Keep parallel arrays aligned. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read boxes, supportedBoxes, share, defined. Inspect defined before interpreting the associated values.

Require aligned boxIds, locationIds, and manifestPresent flags. Count distinct boxes and distinct boxes with any nonempty listed verified location and manifest flag, dividing or returning zero with defined false for no boxes.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • One supported row can cover a box with other unsupported rows; actual locations, manifests, archive completeness, and traceability are not independently verified.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review the controlled study records and audit trail for the complete evidentiary chain. Resolve duplicate identifiers, sampling units, and authorization rules before drawing study-level conclusions.
