Clarity Inclusion Position Map Code

Encode measured inclusion locations into caller radial/depth zones under explicit centered circular envelope; no clarity grade, inclusion composition or visibility/structural-safety conclusion.

Description

Inclusion coordinates can be normalized within a centered circular stone envelope.

Inclusion coordinates can be normalized within a centered circular stone envelope. Radial and depth bands encode location without assigning clarity or composition.1

Encode measured inclusion locations into caller radial/depth zones under explicit centered circular envelope; no clarity grade, inclusion composition or visibility/structural-safety conclusion.

When to use Clarity Inclusion Position Map Code

Use this tool to encode measured inclusion locations into caller radial/depth zones under explicit centered circular envelope; no clarity grade, inclusion composition or visibility/structural-safety conclusion.

Prepare the gemstone measurements, spectra or comparison data and any supplied calibration parameters. Check units, reference conditions and record alignment.

How to use Clarity Inclusion Position Map Code and understand its results

  1. Prepare the gemstone measurements, spectra or comparison data and any supplied calibration parameters. Check units, reference conditions and record alignment.
  2. Enter inclusionPositionsXyDepthMm, stoneOutlineRadiusMm, stoneDepthMm, callerRadialZoneLowerEdges, callerDepthZoneLowerEdges using the field table and calculation rules, then run the tool.
  3. Read normalizedInclusionRadii, normalizedInclusionDepths, callerInclusionPositionZoneCodes. The explanation below defines the units, signs, ordering and any flags or placeholder values.
  4. If the tool reports an input issue, correct the values and run it again. Apply the stated assumptions when interpreting a successfully returned result.

Use positive outline radius and stone depth in mm with 3D x,y,depth rows. Require both normalized values in [0,1] and caller lower-edge bands covering them. Return normalized lists and pairs of zero-based radial/depth zone codes; each edge is inclusive in its starting band.

normalized radius=hypot(x,y)/outline radius; normalized depth=depth/stone depth

Units, indexing, boundary conditions and exceptional cases are defined in the calculation rules above.

Limitations and assumptions

Coordinates and circular envelope are supplied. Visibility, structural effects and clarity grades are not determined.

Numeric inputs and returned numeric values must be finite; an unrepresentable returned value produces an error. Matrices are limited to 128 rows and 128 entries per row; other numeric lists are limited to 100,000 entries. Missing required fields, extra fields, wrong value types and violations of the calculation rules are input errors.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use Eye-Clean Threshold Size: Compare already apparent inclusion width to caller visual angular-resolution model; real contrast, lighting, depth/refraction and observer acuity remain unmodeled, so this is not an eye-clean certification. For a complementary task, use Color Grade Letter Boundary Checker: Audit caller color-grade coordinate bands with inclusive lower boundaries and measurement uncertainty, retaining multiple compatible codes; no automatic D–Z laboratory grading or interpretation of uncalibrated color coordinates.
