Stool Sample Weight Basis Label

Label a supplied stool-sample mass and its recorded wet/dry basis without converting the basis.

Description

Label whether a stool-sample mass is reported on a wet or dry basis.

Gastrointestinal study and procedure records use explicit specimen, assay, instrument, site and time conventions. A wet/dry mass label differs from converting a sample basis, while a recorded interval differs from a physiological transit estimate. Metadata alone does not establish anatomy, assay validity or a clinical finding.

Label whether a stool-sample mass is reported on a wet or dry basis.

When to use this tool

Use Stool Sample Weight Basis Label when checking the stated gastrointestinal record, measurement label or timing convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter sampleId, massGrams, dryBasis. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read label. Use the output convention below.

Require nonempty sampleId and massGrams>=0. Format sample; mass g [dry mass] or [wet mass] according to dryBasis.1

Input fieldMeaning and unitsAccepted input
sampleIdSample IdRequired. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192.
massGramsMass GramsRequired. Finite number; minimum 0.
dryBasisLabels the supplied mass basis only; no wet/dry conversion is performed.Required. Boolean.
Output fieldInterpretationReturned shape
labelFormatted supplied record wording; no independent validation of its substantive meaning.Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192.

Limitations and assumptions

  • The basis is a label, not a moisture conversion; no sample identity, analytical result or diagnosis is established.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use original validated clinical/laboratory records and qualified medical interpretation for actual diagnostic, procedural or care decisions.
