Nonclinical Transit Origin Gap Tool

Calculate nonclinical transit origin gap from explicit caller-supplied inputs.

Loading tool…

Description

Subtract each supplied origin from markerAt.

Research timing records need a common clock origin, time unit and observation boundary. A corrected interval or censored duration describes the supplied recording model; it does not by itself measure physiological transit or establish a diagnosis.

Subtract each supplied origin from markerAt.

When to use this tool

Use Nonclinical Transit Origin Gap when you need a research timing, frame or clock-reference calculation.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter markerAt, firstOrigin, secondOrigin. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read firstElapsed, secondElapsed, elapsedGap. Use the output convention below.

Subtract each supplied origin from markerAt. Return firstOrigin minus secondOrigin as elapsedGap, equal to second elapsed minus first elapsed.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • The origin subtraction order matters; consistent units and reference clocks are assumed, without physiological interpretation.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use original timestamps and the study protocol to resolve timing conventions. Physiological interpretation requires the appropriate clinical or research assessment, including observation and calibration uncertainty.
