Description
Accept latitude or longitude axis.
A unit label is text describing a quantity's intended scale. Joining tokens, adding powers or choosing spacing changes presentation; it does not convert the quantity, validate dimensional compatibility or verify a unit registry entry.
Accept latitude or longitude axis.
When to use this tool
Use Angle Negative Zero Hemisphere Label when you need a specific quantity-and-unit text convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter angle, negativeZero, axis. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read hemisphere, magnitude. Use the output convention below.
Accept latitude or longitude axis. Use numeric angle sign, or negativeZero at zero, for N/S or E/W and return absolute magnitude.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| angle | Angle | Required. Finite number. |
| negativeZero | Supplied hemisphere sign at exactly zero; numeric bounds are not checked. | Required. Boolean. |
| axis | Axis | Required. Text; one of "latitude", "longitude"; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| hemisphere | Hemisphere | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| magnitude | Magnitude | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- No latitude or longitude bounds are enforced. The zero sign is supplied metadata; this is a label choice, not a coordinate transformation.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use a unit-aware calculation for actual conversion and dimensional checks. Select a destination-appropriate typography and retain the intended unit meaning when preparing labels.
