Description
Record a forensic reference-material certificate identifier and source.
Forensic records distinguish exhibit identity, container links, declared conclusions, timestamp resolution and measurement bases. A matching seal string or recorded certificate is not authentication or proof of custody. Redacted display text and salt-version labels also do not by themselves establish sufficient de-identification or lawful disclosure.
Record a forensic reference-material certificate identifier and source.
When to use this tool
Use Forensic Reference Certificate ID when checking the stated exhibit record, measurement, time or display-policy convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter materialId, certificateId, certificateVersion. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read token. Use the output convention below.
Require nonempty material ID, certificate ID and certificate version. Encode the ordered triple as JSON text.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| materialId | Material Id | Required. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| certificateId | Certificate Id | Required. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| certificateVersion | Certificate Version | Required. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |

| token | JSON-encoded ordered tuple or literal token under the convention above; not a database lookup or authentication result. | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
{
"input": {
"materialId": "RM17",
"certificateId": "CERT-4",
"certificateVersion": "v2"
},
"output": {
"token": "[\"RM17\",\"CERT-4\",\"v2\"]"
}
} Limitations and assumptions
- The certificate is not retrieved or authenticated; reference-material identity, traceability and measurement fitness are not established.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Review verified original evidence and custody records using qualified forensic and legal assessment for actual interpretation, disclosure and evidential decisions.
