Forensic Photo Scale Perspective Label Tool

Preserve explicit forensic photo scale and perspective metadata without correcting geometry or interpreting evidence.

Description

Attach a supplied scale-perspective label to a forensic photograph.

Forensic records distinguish exhibit identity, container links, declared conclusions, timestamp resolution and measurement bases. A matching seal string or recorded certificate is not authentication or proof of custody. Redacted display text and salt-version labels also do not by themselves establish sufficient de-identification or lawful disclosure.

Attach a supplied scale-perspective label to a forensic photograph.

When to use this tool

Use Forensic Photo Scale Perspective Label when checking the stated exhibit record, measurement, time or display-policy convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter imageId, scaleId, perspectiveNote. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read token. Use the output convention below.

Require nonempty image ID, scale ID and perspective note. Encode the ordered triple as JSON text.1

imageIdImage IdRequired. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192.
scaleIdScale IdRequired. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192.

Output fieldInterpretationReturned shape
tokenJSON-encoded ordered tuple or literal token under the convention above; not a database lookup or authentication result.Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192.

Limitations and assumptions

  • Perspective notes are recorded without reading a photo, correcting distortion, verifying scale or assessing evidential reliability.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review verified original evidence and custody records using qualified forensic and legal assessment for actual interpretation, disclosure and evidential decisions.
