Communal Meal Served Unserved Count

Compare explicit expected and served person counts without judging nutritional adequacy.

Description

Separate unserved people from extra people served at a communal meal.

Food-assistance records track sources, quantities, vouchers, transfers and purchasing units. Nominal person-rations and whole-pack costs depend on supplied assumptions; they do not determine nutritional adequacy or legal entitlements. Returned quantities also do not establish that food can safely be redistributed.

Separate unserved people from extra people served at a communal meal.

When to use this tool

Use Communal Meal Served Unserved Count when checking the stated supplied assistance inventory, quantity or cost convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter expectedPeople, servedPeople. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read unservedPeople, extraServedPeople. Use the output convention below.

Limitations and assumptions

  • Counts need not match; no person identity, portion adequacy, meal quality or actual food access is verified.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use verified inventory and program records with qualified nutrition, food-safety and humanitarian professionals for actual dietary, distribution or benefit decisions.
