Description

Convert feeMinor-minus-rebateMinor and subtract it from roundedNetMinor for gapMinor.

Financial accounting arithmetic tracks amounts, balances, fees and allocations on a declared currency and sign basis. An algebraically consistent result does not authorize a transaction or establish an amount legally due.

Convert feeMinor-minus-rebateMinor and subtract it from roundedNetMinor for gapMinor.

Limitations and assumptions

  • The conversion maps source minor units to target minor units, so currency scale differences must already be included. The tool compares supplied rounding rather than applying it.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Reconcile source ledgers and governing agreements using the intended currency precision and accounting policy. Include omitted fees, tax, timing and legal requirements before acting on a result.
