Description

Multiply signed interest by each share.

Financial accounting arithmetic tracks amounts, balances, fees and allocations on a declared currency and sign basis. An algebraically consistent result does not authorize a transaction or establish an amount legally due.

Multiply signed interest by each share.

When to use this tool

Use Escrow Interest Beneficiary Split when you need a specified monetary balance or allocation calculation.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter interest, shares. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read allocations. Use the output convention below.

Require nonempty nonnegative shares summing within 1e-12 of one. Multiply signed interest by each share.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Shares are not renormalized and no cent-rounding reconciliation is performed. Allocation rights and applicable accounting/tax treatment are not determined.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Reconcile source ledgers and governing agreements using the intended currency precision and accounting policy. Include omitted fees, tax, timing and legal requirements before acting on a result.
