Description

Return unfunded, unfunded-minus-newCall and whether the call exceeds unfunded.

Financial accounting arithmetic tracks amounts, balances, fees and allocations on a declared currency and sign basis. An algebraically consistent result does not authorize a transaction or establish an amount legally due.

Return unfunded, unfunded-minus-newCall and whether the call exceeds unfunded.

When to use this tool

Use Capital Call Unfunded Commitment Balance when you need a specified monetary balance or allocation calculation.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter commitment, funded, newCall. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read unfunded, afterCall, exceeds. Inspect exceeds before interpreting the associated values.

Require nonnegative commitment/funding/call, with funding no greater than commitment. Return unfunded, unfunded-minus-newCall and whether the call exceeds unfunded.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • A negative afterCall is retained. Capital-call authorization, legal commitment scope, timing and actual fund obligations are not established.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Reconcile source ledgers and governing agreements using the intended currency precision and accounting policy. Include omitted fees, tax, timing and legal requirements before acting on a result.
