Stroop Error Trial Inclusion Denominator Tool

Error fraction uses all retained trials; eligibleTrials separately reports the caller policy for latency analysis.

Description

Return eligible trials excluding errors only when requested, while errorFraction always divides errors by total-minus-excludedCorrect.

Trial records can encode conditions, response keys, inclusion masks and blind-code mappings. Literal membership and balanced counts describe the supplied records; they do not establish valid randomization, effective blinding or clinical conclusions.

Return eligible trials excluding errors only when requested, while errorFraction always divides errors by total-minus-excludedCorrect.

When to use this tool

Use Stroop Error Trial Inclusion Denominator when you need a specified experimental-record or allocation-index check.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter totalTrials, errors, excludedCorrect, includeErrors. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read eligibleTrials, errorFraction. Use the output convention below.

Require positive total trials and bounded errors/excluded-correct counts with a positive nonexcluded base. Return eligible trials excluding errors only when requested, while errorFraction always divides errors by total-minus-excludedCorrect.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • EligibleTrials can be zero while errorFraction remains defined. These are trial accounting conventions, not a complete Stroop score or clinical assessment.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review the complete experimental design, controlled mappings and source records. Validate actual randomization, permissions, missingness and analysis assumptions rather than inferring them from one token or count.
