Description
Combine them into a basis-qualified tag.
Environmental records use measurement bases, sample conventions, dates, and source labels. A calculation applies the supplied convention; it does not verify sampling quality, detect contamination, or establish compliance.
Combine them into a basis-qualified tag.
When to use this tool
Use Emission Unit Reference Basis Tag when you need one environmental data component with its basis and limitations stated.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter unit, basis. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read tag. Use the output convention below.
Require nonempty unit and a listed wet, dry, as-received, standard-volume, or actual-volume basis. Combine them into a basis-qualified tag.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| unit | Unit | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| basis | Basis | Required. Text; one of "wet", "dry", "as-received", "standard-volume", "actual-volume"; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| tag | Tag under the supported literal grammar. | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
{
"input": {
"unit": "mg/m3",
"basis": "dry"
},
"output": {
"tag": "mg/m3 [dry]"
}
} Limitations and assumptions
- This labels rather than converts a measurement; moisture, temperature, pressure, composition, and emissions compliance are not calculated.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Check the full sampling method, analytical uncertainty, and applicable assessment requirements separately.
