Description
Count distinct required handoff fields as present or missing in supplied records.
Handoff and equipment records can contain required fields, expiry labels and capacity budgets. A local consistency check can expose missing or negative entries without verifying contents, equipment condition or readiness for emergency use.
Count distinct required handoff fields as present or missing in supplied records.
When to use this tool
Use Handoff Field Presence Count when checking a supplied training or equipment-record rule.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter requiredFields, presentFields. Keep parallel arrays aligned. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read presentRequired, missingRequired. Use the output convention below.
Count distinct requiredFields present in presentFields as presentRequired and distinct required fields absent from it as missingRequired, using exact string matching.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| requiredFields | Required Fields | Required. Array of text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192; maximum items 256. |
| presentFields | Present Fields | Required. Array of text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192; maximum items 256. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| presentRequired | Present Required | Required. Safe integer. |
| missingRequired | Missing Required | Required. Safe integer. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Duplicate required labels count once and unrelated present fields do not add credit. Presence does not verify content, valid handoff, consent or clinical completeness.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Inspect actual equipment and authoritative documentation; use professional emergency and maintenance procedures when operational readiness matters.
