Description
wetKilograms = bushels*factor; dryKilograms = wetKilograms*(1-moistureFraction).
Historical monetary and physical units can have local or period-specific conversion bases. Exact subunit arithmetic and supplied mass factors preserve a declared interpretation but do not select the correct historical system automatically.
wetKilograms = bushels*factor; dryKilograms = wetKilograms*(1-moistureFraction).
When to use this tool
Use Archival Bushel Weight Local Factor when applying an explicit historical unit or subunit convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter bushels, kilogramsPerLocalBushel, moistureFraction. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read wetKilograms, dryKilograms. Use the output convention below.
Require nonnegative bushels, positive kilogramsPerLocalBushel and moistureFraction in [0,1]. wetKilograms = bushels*factor; dryKilograms = wetKilograms*(1-moistureFraction).1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| bushels | Bushels | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| kilogramsPerLocalBushel | Kilograms Per Local Bushel | Required. Finite number; strictly above 0. |
| moistureFraction | Moisture Fraction | Required. Finite number; minimum 0; maximum 1. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| wetKilograms | Wet Kilograms | Required. Finite number. |
| dryKilograms | Dry Kilograms | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- The local bushel-to-mass factor is supplied rather than universal. Moisture uses wet-mass fraction; commodity density, local measures and historical quality are not inferred.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
