Description
Allocate recipe nutrient to a consumed mass share.
A food nutrient amount depends on mass, composition, retention and the chosen reference or exchange convention. Nitrogen-derived protein and a single amino-acid ratio are analytical terms rather than complete measures of dietary adequacy.
Allocate recipe nutrient to a consumed mass share.
When to use this tool
Use Dietary Recall Recipe Share Term when checking a supplied nutrient amount, protein factor or reporting normalization.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter recipeNutrient, preparedMass, consumedMass. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read consumedFraction, consumedNutrient. Use the output convention below.
Allocate recipe nutrient to a consumed mass share. Require positive preparedMass, consumedMass in [0,preparedMass] and nonnegative recipeNutrient; multiply total nutrient by consumedMass/preparedMass.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| recipeNutrient | Recipe Nutrient | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| preparedMass | Prepared Mass | Required. Finite number; strictly above 0. |
| consumedMass | Consumed Mass | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| consumedFraction | Consumed Fraction | Required. Finite number. |
| consumedNutrient | Consumed Nutrient | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Uniform nutrient distribution is assumed; selective consumption and recipe composition are not verified.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
