Description
Calculate remittance fees subject to a nonnegative-net constraint.
Demographic economic terms depend on age-window boundaries, population scope, household equivalence units and supplied fiscal assumptions. A worker-share change is not an estimated demographic dividend, and endpoint survivors times duration differ from integrated life-table person-years. Local pension or subsidy calculations do not determine actual eligibility or entitlement.
Calculate remittance fees subject to a nonnegative-net constraint.
When to use this tool
Use Migration Remittance Fee Share when you already have grossRemittance, fixedFee, variableFeeFraction and need to calculate remittance fees subject to a nonnegative-net constraint.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter grossRemittance, fixedFee, variableFeeFraction. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read totalFee, netRemittance, feeShare. Use the output convention below.
Require grossRemittance>0, fixedFee>=0 and variableFeeFraction in [0,1]; total=fixed+gross*fraction must not exceed gross. Return total, gross-total and total/gross.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| grossRemittance | Gross Remittance | Required. Finite number; strictly above 0. |
| fixedFee | Fixed Fee | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| variableFeeFraction | Variable Fee Fraction | Required. Finite number; minimum 0; maximum 1. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| totalFee | Fixed+gross*variable fraction, required no greater than gross; equality gives zero net. | Required. Finite number. |
| netRemittance | Net Remittance | Required. Finite number. |
| feeShare | Fee Share | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Fees equal to gross are accepted; fees above gross are rejected. No actual tariff, exchange rate, settlement, tax or payment obligation is determined.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use complete population, cohort, labor and fiscal records with the chosen equivalence and exposure definitions. Review applicable benefit rules and estimate the appropriate model for policy analysis; one supplied allocation or accounting ratio does not establish behavior or economic effects.
