Description
Calculate a supplied transfer per population unit.
Demographic economic terms depend on age-window boundaries, population scope, household equivalence units and supplied fiscal assumptions. A worker-share change is not an estimated demographic dividend, and endpoint survivors times duration differ from integrated life-table person-years. Local pension or subsidy calculations do not determine actual eligibility or entitlement.
Calculate a supplied transfer per population unit.
When to use this tool
Use Per Capita Transfer Population Base when you already have totalTransfer, suppliedPopulation and need to calculate a supplied transfer per population unit.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter totalTransfer, suppliedPopulation. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read transferPerPerson. Use the output convention below.
Require suppliedPopulation positive/finite; return signed totalTransfer/population.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| totalTransfer | Total Transfer | Required. Finite number. |
| suppliedPopulation | Positive finite denominator, allowing fractional population units as supplied. | Required. Finite number; strictly above 0. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| transferPerPerson | Transfer Per Person | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Population may be fractional. Currency, period and population scope must match; no eligibility, distribution, entitlement or actual transfer is verified.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use complete population, cohort, labor and fiscal records with the chosen equivalence and exposure definitions. Review applicable benefit rules and estimate the appropriate model for policy analysis; one supplied allocation or accounting ratio does not establish behavior or economic effects.
