Decoding: Base85 Tuple Overflow Flag Tool

Inspect one five-digit radix85 tuple for the 32-bit decoded-word overflow condition, independently of any alphabet or stream shorthand.

Description

Evaluate a five-digit Base85 tuple and check unsigned32 fit.

Encoded representations separate alphabet symbols, numerical digit values, byte grouping and tail padding. Recognizing one symbol or pad-bit pattern is not full payload decoding, and different alphabet variants can assign different values.

Evaluate a five-digit Base85 tuple and check unsigned32 fit.

When to use this tool

Use Decoding: Base85 Tuple Overflow Flag when inspecting one stated alphabet, group or padding component.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter digits. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read result. Expand result to inspect the returned fields.

Evaluate a five-digit Base85 tuple and check unsigned32 fit. Require five whole digits in [0,84]; accumulate exact base-85 value and return decimal text plus value <= 4294967295.1

Input fieldMeaning and unitsAccepted input
digitsDigitsRequired. Array of finite number. Implementation limit: 128 items.
Output fieldInterpretationReturned shape
resultReturned object; expand its named members below.Required. Object.
result.valueExact decimal value of the five Base85 digits, including values above the unsigned-32 limit.Calculated result member: string.
result.fitsUnsigned32Whether value is no greater than 4294967295; inspect before interpreting as four bytes.Calculated result member: boolean.

Limitations and assumptions

  • An overflowing tuple is returned with a false flag, not decoded into four bytes.
  • Outputs are nested inside result. Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use the complete codec matching the required alphabet and canonicality rules for real encoded data.
