Description
Decode exactly the Ascii85 zero shorthand.
Ascii85 uses full four-byte groups, final partial groups and a special all-zero shorthand. A group-length or shorthand helper does not validate all digits, numeric overflow or stream delimiters.
Decode exactly the Ascii85 zero shorthand.
When to use this tool
Use Ascii85 Shorthand Zero Group Token when checking one explicitly supported Ascii85 fragment.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter token. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read bytes. Use the output convention below.
Decode exactly the Ascii85 zero shorthand. Require token z and return four zero octets.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| token | Token | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| bytes | Octet values, each from 0 through 255, in the stated byte order. | Required. Array of safe integer; maximum items 256. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Partial groups and other Ascii85 symbols are rejected; no complete stream or delimiter validation occurs.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use the intended full Ascii85 implementation for actual byte decoding, framing and canonicality.
