Interpretation Claim Context Share Tool

Calculate interpretation claim context share from explicit caller-supplied inputs.

Description

Return distinct supporting contexts for one selected claim.

Quotations and corpora depend on span boundaries, omissions, annotation context and exclusion policies. A clipped window or support count describes supplied records while the adequacy, independence and meaning of their context still require editorial interpretation.

Return distinct supporting contexts for one selected claim.

When to use this tool

Use Interpretation Claim Context Share when checking a supplied quotation, context or corpus-support convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter claimIds, contextIds, supported, selectedClaim. Keep parallel arrays aligned. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read contexts, supportedContexts, share, defined. Inspect defined before interpreting the associated values.

Return distinct supporting contexts for one selected claim. Require aligned claimIds/contextIds/supported; deduplicate selected contexts and those having any supported record, then divide supported contexts by all, or zero with defined false.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Support flags and context independence are supplied; conflicting duplicate records can still count as supported.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Read the complete sources and audit the annotation/exclusion policy before treating a numerical coverage measure as interpretive support.
