Description
Return procurement arrival and schedule float.
Construction bookkeeping distinguishes installed, accepted, credited and reworked quantities, as well as contractual cost and schedule conventions. A local variance or budget term can expose a gap without verifying work quality, payment entitlement or the project critical path.
Return procurement arrival and schedule float.
When to use this tool
Use Procurement Leadtime Float Term when checking a supplied construction quantity, charge, record or schedule convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter neededAt, orderAt, leadTime. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read arrivalAt, float. Use the output convention below.
Return procurement arrival and schedule float. Require leadTime >= 0; arrivalAt = orderAt+leadTime, float = neededAt-arrivalAt.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| neededAt | Needed At | Required. Finite number. |
| orderAt | Order At | Required. Finite number. |
| leadTime | Lead Time | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| arrivalAt | Arrival At | Required. Finite number. |
| float | Float | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Use one time basis; calendars, uncertainty, dependencies and actual delivery performance are not modeled.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use verified project records, a complete schedule and governing contracts; involve qualified construction, engineering or legal professionals for practical decisions.
