Boolean Network One Node Update Tool

Evaluate one supplied Boolean node rule; empty AND is true, empty OR and XOR are false.

Description

Evaluate one Boolean-network node with optional inversion.

Computational biology distinguishes discrete counts, probabilistic weights, sequence indexes and logical rules. A supplied event or record flag can be summarized without simulating a stochastic process, validating a sequence annotation or establishing a biological mechanism.

Evaluate one Boolean-network node with optional inversion.

When to use this tool

Use Boolean Network One Node Update when checking the stated count, sequence, Boolean-rule or support convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter inputs, operator, invert. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read next. Inspect next before interpreting the associated values.

Evaluate one Boolean-network node with optional inversion. Require operator and/or/xor; use every, some or odd true-input count, then invert when requested.1

Input fieldMeaning and unitsAccepted input
inputsInputsRequired. Array of boolean; maximum items 256.
operatorOperatorRequired. Text; one of "and", "or", "xor"; maximum UTF-16 length 8192.
invertInvertRequired. Boolean.
Output fieldInterpretationReturned shape
nextNextRequired. Boolean.

Limitations and assumptions

  • Empty and is true, empty or/xor false before inversion; no full network dynamics or biological model is inferred.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use the complete sequence, identifier universe or stochastic/logical model for actual inference, sampling and uncertainty analysis.
