Meeting Turn Share Speaker Tool

Calculate a speaker's count share from an explicit meeting-turn coding convention.

Loading tool…

Description

Require positive integer totalTurns and speakerTurns within it, then return speakerTurns/totalTurns as turnShare.

Communication records use speaker labels, acknowledgments, durations, turns, and presentation timing. A count or formatted label describes the supplied record; it does not establish understanding, agreement, or communication quality.

Require positive integer totalTurns and speakerTurns within it, then return speakerTurns/totalTurns as turnShare.

When to use this tool

Use Meeting Turn Share Speaker when you need one conversation or presentation-record component under an explicit counting convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter speakerTurns, totalTurns. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read turnShare. Use the output convention below.

Require positive integer totalTurns and speakerTurns within it, then return speakerTurns/totalTurns as turnShare.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • The count definition and segmentation are supplied; turns differ from speaking time, participation quality, influence, or equitable access.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review the complete interaction, transcript, and intended communication requirements separately.
