Trial Followup Person Day Censor Term Tool

Calculate trial followup person day censor term from explicit caller-supplied inputs.

Description

Return one participant's censored exposure and event count.

Censoring preserves partial information about an observation. Follow-up exposure ends under an explicit event/censor policy, while one-sided data bounds indicate values below or above a limit; neither record transformation estimates a survival distribution or resolves missingness assumptions.

Return one participant's censored exposure and event count.

When to use this tool

Use Trial Followup Person Day Censor Term when checking the stated clinical-research record, allocation, timing, analysis or evidence-basis convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter entry, eventDay, censorDay, studyEnd, eventObserved. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read exit, exposure, eventCount. Use the output convention below.

Return one participant's censored exposure and event count. Require censor/study end >= entry and observed event day >= entry; exit is earliest study end/censor/observed event, exposure = exit-entry, eventCount includes an observed event tied with censor/end.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Event/censor flags and numeric day coordinates are supplied; this does not establish independent censoring or a survival-model result.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use the complete approved protocol, authenticated source records and qualified clinical/statistical oversight for actual trial design, conduct and interpretation.
