Study Data Censor Limit Direction Token Tool

Represent a supplied one-sided censor limit without imputation.

Description

Label a one-sided censored observation bound.

Censoring preserves partial information about an observation. Follow-up exposure ends under an explicit event/censor policy, while one-sided data bounds indicate values below or above a limit; neither record transformation estimates a survival distribution or resolves missingness assumptions.

Label a one-sided censored observation bound.

When to use this tool

Use Study Data Censor Limit Direction Token when checking the stated clinical-research record, allocation, timing, analysis or evidence-basis convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter limit, direction, inclusive. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read lowerPresent, upperPresent, bound, inclusive. Inspect lowerPresent, upperPresent, inclusive before interpreting the associated values.

Label a one-sided censored observation bound. Require direction left or right; right sets lowerPresent, left sets upperPresent, and return supplied limit and inclusive flag.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • This preserves bound metadata, not an imputed value, likelihood contribution or validated assay limit.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use the complete approved protocol, authenticated source records and qualified clinical/statistical oversight for actual trial design, conduct and interpretation.
