Description
Convert QT/RR quantities to seconds before taking a ratio.
Cardiac recordings use sample indexes, time origins, event markers and observation windows. A sample-grid count, interval conversion or phase comparison operates on supplied records; it does not detect an actual heartbeat, validate an ECG or determine a clinical diagnosis.
Convert QT/RR quantities to seconds before taking a ratio.
When to use this tool
Use ECG Qt RR Unit Consistency Term when checking the stated cardiac-record indexing, timing, phase or coverage convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter qt, rr, qtSecondsPerUnit, rrSecondsPerUnit. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read qtSeconds, rrSeconds, qtRrRatio. Use the output convention below.
Convert QT/RR quantities to seconds before taking a ratio. Require qt >= 0 and positive rr/seconds-per-unit factors; return each converted duration and qtRrRatio = QTseconds/RRseconds.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| qt | Qt | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| rr | Rr | Required. Finite number; strictly above 0. |
| qtSecondsPerUnit | Qt Seconds Per Unit | Required. Finite number; strictly above 0. |
| rrSecondsPerUnit | Rr Seconds Per Unit | Required. Finite number; strictly above 0. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| qtSeconds | Qt Seconds | Required. Finite number. |
| rrSeconds | Rr Seconds | Required. Finite number. |
| qtRrRatio | Dimensionless QT/RR after conversion to seconds; not a heart-rate-corrected QT. | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- This is a raw duration ratio, not Bazett/Fridericia QT correction or a clinical QT interpretation; unit factors are supplied.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Inspect the actual recording, acquisition settings and event annotations; use validated analysis and qualified clinical interpretation for patient-related decisions.
