Cardiology Phantom Flow Volume Factor Tool

Measured model/phantom flow from net collected volume, with no patient flow estimate or acquisition recommendation.

Loading tool…

Description

Return phantom flow after subtracting collection residual.

Cardiac measurement formulas depend on geometry, units, calibration and reference origins. A Doppler projection correction, echo disc-volume contribution or waveform integral evaluates supplied quantities without validating image acquisition, signal quality or physiological interpretation.

Return phantom flow after subtracting collection residual.

When to use this tool

Use Cardiology Phantom Flow Volume Factor when checking one supplied cardiac measurement, geometry or calibration term.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter collectedVolume, elapsedSeconds, containerResidual, referenceFlow. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read netVolume, flowPerSecond, flowGap. Use the output convention below.

Return phantom flow after subtracting collection residual. Require collectedVolume >= containerResidual >= 0 and elapsedSeconds > 0; netVolume = collected-residual, flowPerSecond = net/time, flowGap = flow-referenceFlow.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Volume/time units must match the reference; actual apparatus calibration, in-vivo flow and clinical validity are not established.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use validated acquisition and calibration, a complete appropriate measurement method and qualified clinical interpretation; assess measurement uncertainty and model assumptions separately.
