Beat Window Support Share Tool

Calculate beat window support share from explicit caller-supplied inputs.

Description

Return valid-signal support within a supplied beat window.

Cardiac recordings use sample indexes, time origins, event markers and observation windows. A sample-grid count, interval conversion or phase comparison operates on supplied records; it does not detect an actual heartbeat, validate an ECG or determine a clinical diagnosis.

Return valid-signal support within a supplied beat window.

When to use this tool

Use Beat Window Support Share when checking the stated cardiac-record indexing, timing, phase or coverage convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter beatDurations, inWindow, validSignal. Follow any array-alignment requirements below. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read windowDuration, validBeatDuration, share, defined. Inspect defined before interpreting the associated values.

Return valid-signal support within a supplied beat window. Require aligned nonnegative beatDurations/inWindow/validSignal; sum window time and time with both flags, divide or return zero with defined false.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Overlapping durations are not deduplicated; supplied flags do not establish actual signal quality, rhythm or clinical adequacy.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Inspect the actual recording, acquisition settings and event annotations; use validated analysis and qualified clinical interpretation for patient-related decisions.
