Description
Return observation support by distinct cluster weight.
Biostatistical terms depend on a declared observation unit, exposure denominator, event order and sampling design. A risk-set flag, paired discordance contribution or support-weight ratio can be computed locally without fitting a survival model, establishing a treatment effect or validating an inferential analysis.
Return observation support by distinct cluster weight.
When to use this tool
Use Cluster Observation Support Share when checking the stated exposure, event, matched-pair or cluster-support convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter clusterIds, observed, clusterWeights. Follow any array-alignment requirements below. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read clusters, supportedClusters, totalWeight, supportedWeightShare, defined. Inspect defined before interpreting the associated values.
Return observation support by distinct cluster weight. Require aligned arrays, nonnegative weights and identical weight values on repeated cluster IDs; any observed row supports its cluster, supportedWeightShare divides supported cluster weights by total or is zero with defined false.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| clusterIds | Cluster Ids | Required. Array of text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192; maximum items 256. |
| observed | Observed | Required. Array of boolean; maximum items 256. |
| clusterWeights | Cluster Weights | Required. Array of finite number; minimum 0; maximum items 256. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| clusters | Clusters | Required. Safe integer. |
| supportedClusters | Supported Clusters | Required. Safe integer. |
| totalWeight | Total Weight | Required. Finite number. |
| supportedWeightShare | Weights of distinct clusters with any observed row divided by total distinct-cluster weight. | Required. Finite number. |
| defined | Reporting flag under the explicit denominator or information policy above; inspect any zero placeholder or policy-defined value. | Required. Boolean. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Clusters are weighted once regardless of row count; flags do not establish representative observation or valid cluster inference.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
