Flowmeter Reset Credit Tool

Accumulate supplied monotone flowmeter segments around one explicit reset.

Description

Add flowmeter increments around one reset.

Environmental-remediation bookkeeping uses explicit water, soil, dry-mass, concentration and sampling bases. A local mass residual, censored-result bound or supplied target margin does not identify a removal mechanism, establish representativeness or determine an environmentally acceptable contaminant level.

Add flowmeter increments around one reset.

When to use this tool

Use Flowmeter Reset Credit when checking the stated remediation measurement, mass/volume balance or support convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter beforeReset, resetValue, afterReset, finalValue. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read preResetIncrement, postResetIncrement, totalIncrement. Use the output convention below.

Add flowmeter increments around one reset. Require resetValue >= beforeReset and finalValue >= afterReset; preResetIncrement = reset-before, postResetIncrement = final-after, totalIncrement sums both.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Readings use matching volume units; reset events, calibration, continuous flow and actual environmental discharge are not verified.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use verified sampling and analytical data, consistent material/unit bases and a complete transport or treatment model; involve qualified environmental professionals for practical or regulatory decisions.
