Description
Calculate nominal sampled mass from supplied concentration and volume.
Remediation record terms depend on sample identities, concentration bases, timing and quality-control conventions. Relative duplicate gap is a fraction with a specified denominator, while signed readings can be accepted without being physically meaningful. Local calculations do not establish contaminant removal, environmental safety or an effective treatment.
Calculate nominal sampled mass from supplied concentration and volume.
When to use this tool
Use Contaminant Sampled Load Product when you already have concentration, sampledVolume and need to calculate nominal sampled mass from supplied concentration and volume.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter concentration, sampledVolume. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read sampledMass. Use the output convention below.
Require both inputs>=0; multiply using compatible amount/volume units.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| concentration | Concentration | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| sampledVolume | Sampled Volume | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| sampledMass | Sampled Mass | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- No sampling, composition, representativeness, total site load, remediation or safe condition is inferred.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Review original laboratory and field records with the complete sampling, calibration and remediation assessment. Check detection limits, units and applicable quality criteria before interpreting a local comparison or supplied process record.
