Description
Record explicit segment inertial-sensor frame metadata.
Movement geometry depends on coordinate registration, time origins, force signs and reference axes. A moment arm must already represent perpendicular leverage, a stride percentage has an endpoint convention, and a toe-to-heel projection differs from full Euclidean separation. Scalar results do not establish a movement diagnosis or a safe activity.
Record explicit segment inertial-sensor frame metadata.
When to use this tool
Use Segment Inertial Unit Orientation Tag when you already have segmentId, sensorId, suppliedFrame and need to record explicit segment inertial-sensor frame metadata.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter segmentId, sensorId, suppliedFrame. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read token. Use the output convention below.
Enter segmentId, sensorId, suppliedFrame using the field constraints below. Encode these values, in exactly that order, as a JSON array and return the serialized array as text in token. String values are preserved without trimming or external terminology lookup.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| segmentId | Segment Id | Required. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| sensorId | Sensor Id | Required. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| suppliedFrame | Supplied Frame | Required. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| token | Token | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- The result records supplied values without rotating measurements. Sources and asserted relationships are not independently authenticated.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use calibrated motion, force and timing records with a complete biomechanical model. Check coordinate frames, axis normalization and sampling limitations before interpreting local distances, moments or phase values as performance or clinical findings.
