Description
Return one baseline-adjusted ethics-matrix contribution.
Research ethics review involves evidence, participants, governance and context as well as record completeness. Role counts, disclosure presence and weighted criterion terms can organize supplied assertions; a complete checklist or numerical score does not itself determine ethical acceptability or valid authority.
Return one baseline-adjusted ethics-matrix contribution.
When to use this tool
Use Ethics Matrix One Criterion Weighted Term when checking the stated research-review record, role, disclosure or criterion convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter score, baseline, weight. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read contribution. Use the output convention below.
Return one baseline-adjusted ethics-matrix contribution. Require weight >= 0; contribution = (score-baseline)*weight.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| score | Score | Required. Finite number. |
| baseline | Baseline | Required. Finite number. |
| weight | Caller-supplied weight on the stated observation, model or allocation basis. | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| contribution | Contribution | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Scores and criterion weights are supplied; no ethical judgment, aggregation validity or decision authorization follows from one term.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
