Description
Check a supplied author ID against a corresponding-author list.
Bibliographic records distinguish editions, publication states, author identifiers, dates and fractional-credit conventions. A DOI-shaped string may not resolve, and an ORCID-shaped string can fail its checksum. Supplied status and source labels organize evidence without establishing authorship, publication validity or a complete impact measure.

When to use this tool
Use Publication Author Corresponding Flag when you already have authorId, correspondingAuthorIds and need to check a supplied author ID against a corresponding-author list.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter authorId, correspondingAuthorIds. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read isCorresponding. Inspect isCorresponding before interpreting the associated values.
Require authorId nonempty; return exact membership in correspondingAuthorIds.1

} Limitations and assumptions
- An empty list returns false. This does not resolve authors, verify responsibility, inspect a publication or establish authorship or contact authority.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Check original publications, authoritative identifier records and current publisher notices. Define counting scope, credit allocation and date meaning before combining local labels or author overlaps into a bibliometric analysis.
