Ramp Landing Net Run Allocation Tool

Subtract explicit horizontal landing lengths from the allocated ramp run without choosing a building-code limit.

Description

Return total ramp run left for sloped segments.

Building quantity takeoffs depend on inclusion/exclusion rules, repeated modules, joint placement and material thickness. Net area and ideal layer resistance are limited model quantities; actual fit, heat/moisture behavior and construction performance require the full assembly and measured material properties.

Return total ramp run left for sloped segments.

When to use this tool

Use Ramp Landing Net Run Allocation when checking the stated material, layer, module or takeoff convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter totalRun, landingLengths. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read slopedRun. Use the output convention below.

Return total ramp run left for sloped segments. Require nonnegative total/landing lengths with landing sum <= total; slopedRun = total-sum(landings).1

Input fieldMeaning and unitsAccepted input
totalRunTotal RunRequired. Finite number; minimum 0.
landingLengthsLanding LengthsRequired. Array of finite number; maximum items 256.
Output fieldInterpretationReturned shape
slopedRunSloped RunRequired. Finite number.

Limitations and assumptions

  • The run basis must be consistent; no slope, accessible layout, landing adequacy or code compliance is determined.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use complete drawings, specifications and suitable assembly/material analysis for actual procurement, hygrothermal performance or construction.
