Aquaponic Tank BED Flow Ratio

Compare explicit tank and bed flow rates on the same volume-time basis without selecting a circulation ratio.

Loading tool…

Description

Compare supplied tank and grow-bed flow rates.

Aquaponic accounting separates nominal water volume, flow ratios, electrical input energy, fish records and solids mass bases. Tank/bed flow ratios do not determine hydraulics or suitable operation, and delivered or recorded feed wording does not establish consumption. Supplied factors describe limited scenarios.

Compare supplied tank and grow-bed flow rates.

When to use this tool

Use Aquaponic Tank BED Flow Ratio when you already have tankFlow, bedFlow and need to compare supplied tank and grow-bed flow rates.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter tankFlow, bedFlow. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read tankToBedRatio. Use the output convention below.

Require tankFlow>=0 and bedFlow>0; return tankFlow/bedFlow.1

Input fieldMeaning and unitsAccepted input

Limitations and assumptions

  • Flow units and time bases must match. This does not model hydraulics, oxygenation, flow allocation or suitable fish/plant operation.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use verified system records and complete water, energy, biological and equipment assessment. Check actual conditions, animal needs and operating constraints before treating local balances or geometric terms as management decisions.
