Aquaponic Pump Runtime Energy

Calculate explicit constant-power pump energy from watts and runtime hours without sizing equipment.

Loading tool…

Description

Calculate nominal supplied pump electrical energy in kWh.

Aquaponic accounting separates nominal water volume, flow ratios, electrical input energy, fish records and solids mass bases. Tank/bed flow ratios do not determine hydraulics or suitable operation, and delivered or recorded feed wording does not establish consumption. Supplied factors describe limited scenarios.

Calculate nominal supplied pump electrical energy in kWh.

When to use this tool

Use Aquaponic Pump Runtime Energy when you already have pumpPowerWatts, runtimeHours and need to calculate nominal supplied pump electrical energy in kWh.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter pumpPowerWatts, runtimeHours. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read energyKilowattHours. Use the output convention below.

Require pumpPowerWatts/runtimeHours>=0; return power/1000*hours.1

Input fieldMeaning and unitsAccepted input
pumpPowerWattsPump Power WattsRequired. Finite number; minimum 0.

Limitations and assumptions

  • Power must be constant or mean electrical input over runtime. This does not calculate hydraulic output, efficiency, actual consumption or safe operation.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use verified system records and complete water, energy, biological and equipment assessment. Check actual conditions, animal needs and operating constraints before treating local balances or geometric terms as management decisions.
