Aquaponic Feed Nutrient Supplied Factor Tool

Formal nutrient inventory from supplied fractions without a feeding prescription.

Loading tool…

Description

Return supplied feed nutrient inventory and retained amount.

Aquaponic balances distinguish wet feed, dry matter, nutrient mass, concentration and water volume. A balance term can expose changes or losses without identifying nutrient availability, biological conversion or a suitable supplement dose. Each mass fraction must be attached to its stated material basis.

Return supplied feed nutrient inventory and retained amount.

When to use this tool

Use Aquaponic Feed Nutrient Supplied Factor when checking the stated aquaponic material, nutrient or measurement basis.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter feedMass, dryFraction, nutrientFraction, exportedFraction. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read nutrientInventory, retainedInventory. Use the output convention below.

Return supplied feed nutrient inventory and retained amount. Require feedMass >= 0 and dry/nutrient/export fractions in [0,1]; nutrient = feed*dryFraction*nutrientFraction, retained = nutrient*(1-exportedFraction).1

Limitations and assumptions

  • The nutrient fraction uses dry matter and exported fraction uses that nutrient inventory; availability, losses and suitable feeding are not inferred.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use calibrated measurements and a complete system nutrient/water balance with qualified professional interpretation for actual management.
