Description
Return exact graded and unassigned harvest counts.
Aquaculture estimates expand supplied samples, classify explicit counts and compare measurements with caller-chosen references. A zero placeholder or split count is a reporting result rather than evidence of absence or a biological diagnosis. Sampling representativeness and actual animal conditions require separate assessment.
Return exact graded and unassigned harvest counts.
When to use this tool
Use Harvest Grade Count Residual when checking the stated aquaculture estimate, class or record convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter gradeCounts, totalHarvestCount, rejectedCount. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read gradedDecimal, unassignedDecimal. Use the output convention below.
Return exact graded and unassigned harvest counts. Require nonnegative whole gradeCounts and nonnegative exact total/rejected integer text; graded is the BigInt grade sum, unassigned = total-rejected-graded, both decimal strings.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| gradeCounts | Grade Counts | Required. Array of safe integer; minimum 0; maximum items 256. |
| totalHarvestCount | Total Harvest Count | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. Integer syntax: optional + or - and 1-128 decimal digits; leading zeros accepted. Apply the sign restriction above. |
| rejectedCount | Rejected Count | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. Integer syntax: optional + or - and 1-128 decimal digits; leading zeros accepted. Apply the sign restriction above. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| gradedDecimal | Exact sum of grade counts as decimal-integer text. | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| unassignedDecimal | Exact total minus rejected minus graded; negative balances are retained. | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
{
"input": {
"gradeCounts": [
20,
30
],
"totalHarvestCount": "60",
"rejectedCount": "5"
},
"output": {
"gradedDecimal": "50",
"unassignedDecimal": "5"

} Limitations and assumptions
- Negative unassigned counts expose over-allocation; grade identity, actual harvest and duplicate records are not verified.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
Alternative or Complementary methods
