Description
Return evidence-weighted prior-experience credit under a cap.
Adult-learning records allocate supplied participation, contact time, credits and optional requirements. A local fraction or eligibility predicate follows the chosen counting policy; it does not assess learning quality, recognize a qualification or establish contractual entitlement. Excluded and optional components can change the denominator.
Return evidence-weighted prior-experience credit under a cap.
When to use this tool
Use Prior Experience Credit Capped Term when checking the stated adult-learning participation, requirement, text or time convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter experienceHours, creditPerHour, evidenceFraction, cap. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read uncapped, recognized, excluded. Use the output convention below.
Return evidence-weighted prior-experience credit under a cap. Require nonnegative experienceHours, creditPerHour/cap and evidenceFraction in [0,1]; uncapped = hours*rate*evidence, recognized = min(cap,uncapped), excluded = max(0,uncapped-cap).1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| experienceHours | Experience Hours | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| creditPerHour | Credit Per Hour | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| evidenceFraction | Evidence Fraction | Required. Finite number; minimum 0; maximum 1. |
| cap | Cap | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| uncapped | Uncapped | Required. Finite number. |
| recognized | Recognized | Required. Finite number. |
| excluded | Excluded | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Evidence fraction and recognition policy are supplied; accreditation, actual competence and enforceable credit entitlement are not verified.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
