Description
Return weighted learner control over supplied decisions.
Adult-learning records allocate supplied participation, contact time, credits and optional requirements. A local fraction or eligibility predicate follows the chosen counting policy; it does not assess learning quality, recognize a qualification or establish contractual entitlement. Excluded and optional components can change the denominator.
Return weighted learner control over supplied decisions.
When to use this tool
Use Learner Control Decision Share Term when checking the stated adult-learning participation, requirement, text or time convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter learnerChoices, sharedChoices, instructorChoices, sharedCredit. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read totalChoices, weightedLearnerShare. Use the output convention below.
Return weighted learner control over supplied decisions. Require nonnegative whole counts with positive total and sharedCredit in [0,1]; weightedLearnerShare = (learnerChoices+sharedCredit*sharedChoices)/total.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| learnerChoices | Learner Choices | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |
| sharedChoices | Shared Choices | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |
| instructorChoices | Instructor Choices | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |
| sharedCredit | Shared Credit | Required. Finite number; minimum 0; maximum 1. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| totalChoices | Total Choices | Required. Safe integer. |
| weightedLearnerShare | Weighted Learner Share | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- The weight is supplied; numerical control share does not establish meaningful autonomy, fairness or learning outcomes.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
