Description
Return ideal front/rear axle load shares with tare.
Agricultural machinery budgets combine supplied geometry, speed, efficiency and operating intervals. Nominal capacity differs from measured field performance; slip, headland losses and overlap can use different bases and must not be counted twice. Local hydraulic or static-load terms do not establish equipment safety or suitability.
Return ideal front/rear axle load shares with tare.
When to use this tool
Use Farm Trailer Axle Load Share Term when checking the stated benign machinery geometry, capacity, flow or load convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter load, wheelbase, centerFromFront, frontTare, rearTare. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read frontLoad, rearLoad. Use the output convention below.
Return ideal front/rear axle load shares with tare. Require positive wheelbase, center within it and nonnegative load/tares; front = load*(wheelbase-center)/wheelbase+frontTare, rear = load*center/wheelbase+rearTare.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| load | Load | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| wheelbase | Wheelbase | Required. Finite number; strictly above 0. |
| centerFromFront | Load position between the two supports on a static simply supported model; not an axle rating. | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| frontTare | Front Tare | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| rearTare | Rear Tare | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| frontLoad | Front Load | Required. Finite number. |
| rearLoad | Rear Load | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- This assumes a two-support static beam with consistent load units; actual axle ratings, hitch geometry, dynamics and safe loading are not established.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
