Description
Split a restricted ISOXML-style task identifier.
Machine and field identifiers carry literal spelling, prefix, length and numeric-token conventions. Removing leading zeros can merge distinct identifiers, and a restricted task-token parser does not validate a complete machinery message or standard. Preserve original spellings when resolving ambiguous records.
Split a restricted ISOXML-style task identifier.
When to use this tool
Use Machinery ISOXML Task ID Field when checking the stated machinery value conversion or identifier-token convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter token. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read prefix, number. Use the output convention below.
Split a restricted ISOXML-style task identifier. Require three uppercase ASCII letters followed by an optional minus and canonical nonzero decimal integer, safely convertible; return prefix and number.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| token | Restricted three-uppercase-letter prefix plus optional-minus nonzero decimal integer, with no leading zeros; not full ISOXML validation. | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| prefix | Prefix | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| number | Number | Required. Safe integer. |
{
"input": {
"token": "TSK123"
},
"output": {
"prefix": "TSK",
"number": 123
}
} Limitations and assumptions
- Zero and leading-zero suffixes are rejected; no full ISOXML schema, reference uniqueness or machine task is validated.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Validate the complete source message and authoritative identifier scheme before merging records or asserting standards compatibility.
