Agroforestry Harvest Labor One Component Tool

Calculate agroforestry harvest labor one component from explicit caller-supplied inputs.

Description

Person-hours=units*minutes/60; elapsed hours divide by workers; cost multiplies person-hours by hourlyCost.

Agroforestry cost and benefit terms depend on labor exposure, shared allocations, grants and discount periods. Person-hours differ from elapsed crew-hours, and a single discounted benefit differs from a complete investment appraisal. Prices, allocations and discount rates must be supplied on compatible bases.

Person-hours=units*minutes/60; elapsed hours divide by workers; cost multiplies person-hours by hourlyCost.

When to use this tool

Use Agroforestry Harvest Labor One Component when checking the stated tree/crop cost, labor or discounted-benefit contribution.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter units, minutesPerUnit, workers, hourlyCost. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read personHours, elapsedHours, laborCost. Use the output convention below.

Require whole workers>=1 and nonnegative units, minutes per unit and hourly cost. Person-hours=units*minutes/60; elapsed hours divide by workers; cost multiplies person-hours by hourlyCost.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Assumes equally shared work without setup or interference; hourlyCost is per person-hour, not per crew-hour.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Build a complete budget with verified costs, timing, uncertainty and applicable agreements for actual investment, labor or grant decisions.
